RESPONDING TO A CRISIS: With Bill Appleby CEO, Jewish Care
Time & Location
About the Event
Since the onset of COVID-19 Jewish Care has seen a significant increase in requests for assistance as the community struggles with both real and perceived distress as new and alarming statistics are communicated, jobs become more insecure and there are increasing restrictions on daily lives.
In response, on the 23 March, Jewish Care, in partnership with Erdi Foundation and Spotlight Foundation, the COVD-19 Helpline was launched to address the emotional, financial, and pragmatic needs of the community. To date, calls have come requesting financial aid, food items, counselling, rent assistance, financial counselling and interest-free loans.
Jewish Care sees it has a pivotal role and responsibility to support the community at this time of crisis. Services provided by Jewish Care are going to be essential to a growing number of community members. Please join us for this 1-hour session where Bill will share how he and the amazing team are responding to these unique challenges during this unprecedented time. This webinar will provide insight in to what is available.
